The Art of Dabu Hand Block Printing
25 October 2026 · By Khushi Faruqi

At Kozy Living, we celebrate the beauty of traditional Indian crafts and the hands that bring them to life.
Our Dabu journey takes us to Pipar City, Jodhpur, where artisans practise this age-old mud-resist printing technique.
Using hand-carved wooden blocks and a special mud-resist paste, patterns are carefully stamped onto natural cotton fabric. The fabric is then dyed, allowing the resisted areas to reveal the beautiful prints beneath.
Every step is done by the artisan’s skill, kreating each print unique.
At Kozy, we bring this traditional kraft into everyday rituals through mindfully designed kompanions, keeping the beauty of Indian kraftsmanship close to home.
Rooted in Ritual Konscious Kraft.
